    In my neighborhood, seems the phorid fly treatment is working better-than-expected. No fire ant mounds in our yards for a few years. My last bag of Amdro expired in 2018. Haven't had any need for it in years. Time flies when you're having fun (without fire ants).

    I enjoyed the educational presentation on the flea lifecycle until you brought in all of the poisons. They kill pets, you know, and it gets on people as well, especially children who pet them and don't always wash their hands before it gets in their mouths.

    borax powder? salt?

    • @TokinCamel
      @TokinCamel 2 года назад

      I've heard about that. But I think the reason for the mixture is to get *boric acid*, which apparently kills fleas, eggs, and larva. You need a certain ratio of borax and salt to be effective, it's easier to just buy *boric acid*.

    Learn enough facts to become your communities most knowledgeable Ash tree/EAB expert, by checking out my Scottie Ash Seed blog scottieashseed.wordpress.com/ *Heartache? When such an inexpensive god sent cure can easily protect families beloved tree for full decade costing less than half what immediate removal will until danger from fatal damaging EAB "Infestation" level populations inevitably passes locally?* Cry for Nurseries who dumped remaining ash tree stock on unsuspecting customers? Then decade later sold off thousands of replacement trees arriving already too deep in rootball before even planted?? Needless Heartache is getting reckless advise from selfish tree care company suggesting if it was his/her tree they would remove it rather than waist money on treatment, just call us back when it dies. Or how treatment they applied to other customers trees failed and had to be cut down anyways. When only improper application reason for their failure. Heartache is heartless professionals charging four times cost of applying product just for miracle act of saving endangered life of families beloved tree. $6 per DBH for Tree-age G4 responsible contractors cost to customers. $4 for Municipalities, and $3 per DBH if in house applied.
